Ralph Moore and the Word of Hope

A brief history of Ralph & Ruby Moore and the Hope Chapel Movement. Describes the evolution of Ralph's radio presence in Hawaii along with the growth of the Hope Chapel movement around the world.

Ralph Moore led a disciplemaking and church multiplication movement since he and his wife, Ruby, started the first Hope Chapel in Southern California in 1971.

His goal is to help you develop a stronger walk with the Lord and be more effective in making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Hope Chapel is an idea. A church that promises, “…to love you as is!” Love, acceptance and forgiveness coupled with a strong reverence for God and his Word bear fruit through the lives of people like you.

Ralph and Ruby led Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach, California until 1983 when they moved to start Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii. After 27 years they handed that congregation to the next generation--it's now known as Anchor Church. They then planted Hope Chapel Honolulu, retiring from the pastorate in 2018. Ralph now serves as "Church Multiplication Catalyzer" for Exponential.org. He still communicates with thousands of leaders through Exponential along with his blog and podcast.

Having thought it impossible to launch a sermon site, everyone was surprised when it became possible. Ron Chambers, who produced the radio broadcasts, came across a hard drive containing nearly 300 or Ralph's sermons from the Kaneohe days. Those are the bulk of what you will find here. Along with them we obtained six years worth of sermons from Hope Chapel Honolulu. We'll also post more recent messages as Ralph continues to travel the world in his ministries with Mission Hope and with Exponential.org.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the website and that the messages you hear enrich your life and strengthen your grip.

We have this hope (Jesus) as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:19
